Romeo Dance Academy is a renown institution that prides itself on fostering a community of talented dancers of all ages and skill levels. Based in Milton Keynes, the academy’s state-of-the-art facilities provide the perfect environment for learning and exploration. Equipped with spacious dance studios, mirrored walls, professional sound systems, and comfortable waiting areas, Romeo Dance Academy ensures that each student receives the optimal setting to unleash their creativity and excel in their training.
As a regular attendee at Romeo Dance Academy, I was asked by the owner to consult and improve their current social media presence, increase their following and bring in more dancers through the door.
The owner recognised the need to invest in a new social media service to connect with potential students, share updates about classes and events, and create a vibrant dance community. He wanted to specifically leverage the power of social media to reach a diverse audience (ranging from 20 years old to 70 years old) and showcase the talent and achievements of their dancers.
By investing in a new social media service, they wanted to enhance their brand awareness in the local area and encourage greater engagement to help spread the message even further afield.
After an initial audit, I developed a comprehensive social media marketing plan for Romeo Dance Academy. Their strategy involved creating engaging, fun, story telling and visually captivating content that reflects the academy’s brand and inspires people to come along and see it for themselves.
It was important to make sure all social channels were optimised for the outcomes we wanted and that they were hitting a lot of the questions people first have in the discovery stage before starting a new hobby.
One way to do that was having a strong focus on video content in the form of Instagram Reels & TikToks. As dance is such a visual medium, it seemed the best way to showcase what attending a class is really like in it’s most true form. Whilst also creating content that was fun and silly which would get across what a fun place it is to be too. (See one of the Reel posts below)
Overall the results were undeniable – more customers through the door, greater brand exposure, and a higher return on investment compared to other traditional marketing methods.
